Amarendra Baahubali (played by Prabhas) rules Mahishmathi kingdom. Devasena (played by Anushka Shetty) is the wife of Baahubali. People lives happily in their kingdom until an evil king Bhallala Deva (played by Rana) joins hands with a cruel minister Bijjala Deva (played by Nassar).
These two cruel men plan together and attack Baahubali. In the war, Baahubali loses his life and Rana captures the kingdom and he also puts up a huge statue of himself in the kingdom.
Rana tries to kill the son of Baahubali but he fails to kill him. But, the evil army captures Anushka and kept her as a prisoner.
Tribal people take care of Baahubali’s son and they name him as Shivudu (played by Prabhas). One day, Avantika (Tamanna) visits an island, where Shivudu lives.
Shivudu falls in love with her and this made him to visit her kingdom, where he was told about his past. What is the past of Shivudu? Will he able to reach his dreams? Will he marry Avantika? To know the answers for these questions, you need to watch this movie on big screen.
Prabhas as Baahubali and Shivudu is at his best and his outstanding performance makes the audiences to salute him. His six pack body, warrior outfit, war sequences will prove his terrific histrionic talents.
The second talked actor in this movie is Rana. His performance as an antagonist is the highlight of this film. His dialogue delivery, presence will remain as the best in the history of Indian cinema.
Anushka Shetty as Devasena delivered the best performance. Her expressions as a prisoner are fantastic. After watching her performance as Devasena, everyone say that she is the ‘Queen of Tollywood’. She is no less than the senior actors as she has delivered a brilliant performance.
Tamanna as Avantika looks beautiful and it is sure that , the youngsters will spend sleepless nights after watching Tamanna as princess. Her dazzling performance, dialogue delivery, expressions are so impressive.
Ramya Krishnan as a doting mother and ferocious care taker reminds us Nellambari in Narasimha. Her performance took this movie to another level. Other actors Nasser, Adivi Sesh, Sathyaraj etc are at their best.
Overview: Baahubali is a must watch for its grandeur and is definitely a movie to experience in theaters. However, in case of story telling it has nothing to offer as it has a beaten to death revenge drama as it’s plot. The movie has its share of moments but the problem comes when you wish to watch a Epic from Rajamouli. So folks, set your minds free and fall in love with Baahubali.
