Shabana Plays Pakistani woman in BBC movie ‘Capital’
Veteran boolywood star ‘Shabana Azmi’ has been depicting Pakistani woman role in the British ‘BBC’ movie entitled ‘Capital’. According to her statements, she is playing a energetic Pakistani mother whose son is locked up for the terrorist activities.
The film is set on the single street in the South London, is a reworked copy of the ‘John Lanchester’s’ significantly acclaimed & bestselling novel of with same name.
The BBC One mini-series drama would also star ‘Lesley Sharp’, ‘Wunmi Mosaku’, ‘Toby Jones’, ‘Adeel Akhtar’, , ‘Robert Emms’, ‘Bryan Dick’, ‘Rachael Stirling’, ‘Gemma Jones’ and ‘Radoslaw Kaim’. The TV drama is being directed by Euros Lyn, who was the famous with ‘Last Tango in Halifax’ and ‘Happy Valley’.
Shabana said to the media that she had no idea that ‘Kudos’ is one of the biggest production houses in UK or that star line-up is so spectacular. She don’t think any of them except producer Matt and director Euros Lynn know anything about her either.
