Known for his roles in ‘The Exorcist’, ‘Minority Report’ and ‘The Seventh Seal’, Max von Sydow may be part of the ‘Game of Thrones’ cast for the upcoming season. The 86-year-old Swedish-French actor may be playing the role of the 3-Eyed Raven who was briefly showcased in the 4th season. Before, the character was played by Struan Rodger.

Max von Sydow Joins ‘Game of Thrones’ CastIn recent times, Ian McShane was roped in for season six but his role was unknown. The knowledge of Max’s role may take away some curiosity about the new season. After Bran Stark fell & lost the use of his legs, he started having visions of a 3 eyed raven, who then guided him to cave where the human body of the raven resides. The old man or Struan Rodger then exposed himself for the first time.

With no mention of the character in season 5, the 3-Eyed Raven may be returning in season 6 & hopefully answer the questions raised in the season 4 finale. The forthcoming season may be created by 5 directors who will be working on 2 episodes each. It may be aired in April next year.
