Popular actor Shatrughan Sinha admits that he agreed to do A. R. Murugadoss’s directorial Akira because of his daughter Sonakshi.
He said, “I am doing this film mainly because of Murugadoss and Sonakshi. The desire of Murugadoss and the demand and command of my daughter, the apple of my eye, Sonakshi, prompted me to do the film”.
He added, “I’ve already done more than 250 films and politically I’m very busy with extensive travelling which makes it difficult to manage time for films”.
He also joked that he was “very nervous” to star with Sonakshi.
He told, “I thought Murugudoss was a senior person. When he entered the room, I asked him who Murugadoss was. And he said he was the one. I was surprised as he turned out to be a nice gentleman. I met him and he has a very unassuming personality”.
It is to be mentioned that the film is a remake of Tamil film “Mouna Guru” starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Anurag Kashyap and Amit Sadh in lead roles.
