Kabir Khan believes political backdrop makes story larger

Ace director Kabir Khan is waiting for the release of Salman Khan-starrer “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” on the occasion of EID. He says a political backdrop in the story makes the films larger than life.

He said, “What I really do in my films, is that I do a human story but I try and put a real political backdrop to my films because it makes the storytelling larger than life. Like it could be about a little girl lost in Mumbai and we’re trying to find her a house, but the moment you put the backdrop of India-Pakistan, the border, the hostility, it just becomes larger than life.”

He added, “And let’s face it, our political situation is dominated by India-Pakistan relationship, so that’s how it keeps finding its way into my films,” Kabir, who has directed films like “Kabul Express”.

The film casts Salman, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, singers Adnan Sami, Mika Singh and Jubin Nautiyal.

This film is all set to hit the screens on Friday i.e. on July 17.
